Here are six (6) of Flexoid rocker box cover gaskets for the Triumph Bonneville T140, TR7. pt. no. 71-3673
These gaskets are made from Flexoid gasket material and are 0.5mm thick. They are slightly softer than the standard 'green' material type and can therefore help to seal an otherwise weeping joint.
Flexoid is a plasticised gelatine impregnated material which is cellulose based. Because of its ability to seal against petrol, oil and water at low cost, Flexoid is used extensively by leading British, European and US automotive manufacturers. Maximum recommended service temperature is 120°C and the material is often used for applications including; Carburettor; Fuel Pump; Oil Pump; Oil Filter; Side Cover; Timing Cover; Thermostat; Water Pump etc. See spec. sheet.
These gaskets have been specially made for me in the UK. They are a great fit - see photo taken after about 100++ miles after fitting these gaskets!
