I am this adorable panda bear's original owner. This is an exceptionally rare bear from Robert Raikes that was an edition of only 1500 pieces. I purchased him in June of 2000 directly from Robert Raikes (I still have the receipt in the box. I just fell in love with him because he has such a charming wooden face that is painted white with black eye patches. He wears a beautiful (and heavy) gold medallion around his neck. The front of it is made of wood and has his name and limited edition number 494/1500.  The back of the medallion is all gold and has a raised paw print. His feet are also made of black painted wood and is hand signed by Robert Raikes. He is completely made of black and white dense mohair. Fenlan measures approximately 13" long and is 5 way jointed. He comes with his Certificate of Authenticity, as well as his collector's box. However, the top flap of the box got torn. I'm not quite sure how because he has been kept in his box (never displayed) along with so many of my other precious pandas. There was a time when I moved and moved many of the pandas into a larger storage box and I think some of the boxes got crushed in transit. Nevertheless, the box itself is still intact and still properly protects the bear if you choose to keep him stored away. I trimmed away the part of the box top that got torn.

Everything about Fenlan is pristine/mint. He was never displayed. I only took him out to take photos.

I moved to a new house 2 years ago and in moving boxes that had been stored away, I discovered a treasure trove of my beautiful bears pandas I had completely forgotten about. As I continue to settle into my new home, I am downsizing the collection. It's certainly pointless to keep such beautiful bears stored away. So I'd like to see them go to a good home with someone who can enjoy them on a daily basis. I have so many beautiful pandas from Steiff, Hermann, Clemens, Grisly, Merrythought, Deans, Martin Bears, Annette Funicello, Knickerbocker, Ganz, Mutzli, Raikes.
