The following applies to all 4 Volumes: No writing whatsoever, no rips/tears, stains, folds, visual signs of aging (text), or damage. The text is absolutely flawless. Not a single flaw on a single page in all 4 Volumes. Still bright white and glossy, clean new look & feel. Vol III has never been fully opened, boards are still very stiff and crackles when even slightly opened.
The ONLY flaws: The fading of spine text on Vol III & Vol IV. Some very tiny specks of spotting/foxing on top of text block (only on close inspection and only up top) right along binding of Vol III. Some minimal ware on boards, as seen in photos.
Overall, this complete four volume set is in phenomenal condition.
