Cleaning & removing coffee residues

Coffee residues are often the cause of defective seals or even defective components. To reach coffee residues in difficult places, use this Paint brush (eBay item no.: 284015765537).

For hardened coffee residue, use this "Clean and Cleaver" cleaner.

Care of the seals

The seals that are not in direct contact with the coffee can be lubricated, as can the slideways of brewing groups. This increases the gliding ability and also the durability. You can use the "Fermit Glissa food fat in a practical 3g bag". (eBay item no.: 283530672060) or a re-openable "6g tube of food fat" (eBay Item No.: 284942675638) use.

How can I easily remove my seals?

Try the Seals best with a Hook screwdriver (eBay item no.: 284006472583) to remove. With this Tool come also difficult to install places. Through this Do not hurt your fingers nor are these Dirty.

Cleaning & removing coffee residues

Now that you have removed the old seals, it may be difficult to remove the old coffee residue. These residues are often the cause of defective seals or even defective components. To reach coffee powder residues in difficult places, we recommend this Paint brush! (eBay item no.: 284015765537)

Since there are also coffee residues that are so hardened that they can no longer be removed with normal tools, we can recommend this cleaner for coffee machines.

How do I easily install the newly purchased seals?

To make it easier to put on the O-rings, molded seals and/or lip seals without them tearing in the worst case, place them in a cup of hot water for a few seconds. This makes these seals more flexible and therefore much easier to put on.

Care of the O-rings

To ensure the seals have a long life, we recommend lightly greasing the O-rings when inserting them for the first time. However, please make sure to only lubricate those seals that do not come into direct contact with the coffee. Why?

Because when the coffee is ground, enough oils are released to lubricate the seals themselves. Here, the grease can even lead to defects because coffee residues stick there and can thus clump together.

After cleaning your brewing group, do not forget to lubricate the sliding tracks with food-grade grease. This increases the sliding ability and also the durability of your seals.
