Antique Krepps & Co. "The Family Egg-Tester" Patented March 17, 1874 One side reads: "Manufactured only by Krepps & Co. 47 Dey St. N.Y. Agents Wanted" Another side reads: "If the egg is good, it will in a manner be transparent (according to the thickness and color of the shell). If rotten or tainted, it will present a black or dark dull, blue color." Inner mirror is in tact, but dirty. Tin litho exterior has several scuffs and a bit of rust. Diameter measures 2 1/2 inches. Height is 2 1/2 inches.
