This is a lovely and well done Fine Antique Old California Plein Air Landscape Oil Painting on Artist Board, depicting a bucolic and tranquil landscape scene, in what is likely Southern California. Delicately painted tall evergreen trees, pinkish hued mountain peaks, and sprawling hills highlight the scene. An old walking trail is visible in the foreground, leading into the distance. Signed: "Harry Tobin" on the verso and titled: "Prince's Walk." I could not find any information on the title, whether this describes a specific trail or mountain range, but perhaps you know more about it or the artist himself? This piece likely dates to the 1940's - 1950's. This small gem is approximately 14 3/4 x 18 3/4 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 12 x 16 inches. Very good condition for age, with a few light scuffs to the original gilded period frame (please see photos.) Acquired in Pasadena, California.
