This is a rare set of Antique Old 19th c. MARK TWAIN Books, the first being the 1892 hardcover second edition of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, published in Hartford, Connecticut by the American Publishing Company, Watson Gill, Syracuse N.Y. The second book is the 1888 hardcover first edition of The Stolen White Elephant, etc., published in New York by Charles L. Webster & Co. Both of these pieces are in very good condition for their age, with no cracking down the spines, very clean covers, and no loose, missing, or ripped pages and no soiling. Obviously, there is some light toning and yellowing to the pages from age, but even this is minimal (please see photos.) This Mark Twain book set is priced to sell and would be a very nice gift for a fan of Mark Twain's work, or collector of early American literature. Acquired in Los Angeles County, California. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer. Please check out my other listings for more wonderful and unique artworks!
