This is a stylish and very cool Vintage Old Mid Century Modern Cubist Abstract Still Life Oil Painting on canvas, depicting an ethereal and cubistic still life scene, of a pitcher, blue wine bottle, and gold goblet. In the background and surrounding edges of the image, blue geometric shapes circle the objects. Signed: "Cortez" in the lower right corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? This piece likely dates to the 1950's - 1960's. Approximately 29 1/4 x 41 1/4 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 24 x 36 inches. Very good condition for age, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the original period wooden frame (please see photos.) Acquired in Pasadena, California.
