This is a vibrant and well-done Antique Vintage Mid Century Modern Abstract Cityscape Oil or Acrylic Painting on canvas, by female California Modernist painter and world traveler Faith Pearlman (1921 - 2015.) This work depicts a vivid and boldly rendered cityscape abstraction of Bergen, Norway. The impasto of this work is very thick and chunky and creates a near three-dimensional effect when viewed up close. This particular piece is not signed but was acquired directly from the deceased estate of the artist, with several other of her pieces. Titled and dated on the top stretcher bar of the verso: "Bergen, Norway 1965." Approximately 19 1/2 x 25 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 18 x 24 inches. Very good condition, with some light craquelure in some places from age (please see photos.) Original period frame has light scuffing and edge wear. I will be listing several other artworks by this artist very soon, all of which are just as phenomenal as this one. Please check out my other listings for more wonderful and unique artworks!

She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry, daughter, Joanne Pearlman Geller, and brother, Lawrence Greener. In addition to her loving daughter, Penny, son Charles, and son-in-law Dan Geller, she is survived by her grandson Jordan Geller and his wife, Suzanne, as well as her two (and counting) great granddaughters, Jasmin and Emma.
