These books all came from the same private collection, and were never in public circulation. The previous owner enjoyed making small markings in his books and most of these books, have some kind of pencil or pen notation here or there, but it is not heavy, and it is neatly done, and 90% of the pages in any of these books have no markings whatsoever. Other than that, they are lightly used and clean.
