Description

FACTORY PEDAL series - Achieves faster production speed and lower product prices while maintaining the quality of the pedals -

The Ruby Red Booster (RRB) is a pedal that combines two types of boosters and a switchable buffer, and is based on the BJF Little Red Trebler and Red Rooster Booster.

Equipped with a master volume control, it can be used as a treble booster, clean booster, and overdrive unit. The built-in high-quality buffer can be set to true bypass or buffered bypass with an ON/OFF switch.
TREBLE, the Ruby Red Booster, has a carefully designed balance of bandwidth and low frequency, fine-tuned to the treble frequency that best matches the sonic characteristics of your guitar. BOOST, which is equivalent to Red Rooster Booster, has a maximum boost amount of +40dB and is designed to cover everything from glittering crunch sounds to heavy overdrive sounds. It's tuned to produce very musical distortion, even at high boost settings.
MASTER controls the overall level of the combined sound of the two boosters.

■CONTROLS
MASTER: The volume control located immediately after the booster circuit sets the overall volume.
TREBLE: Treble boost is possible up to about 15dB. The treble frequency range and bandwidth, along with the bass balance, are carefully tuned to match the guitar's sonic characteristics.
BOOST: Boosts the booster gain to a maximum of approximately 40dB. Setting it high will create distortion.
BUFFER: The pedal features an on/off switch for high-quality buffering inside the pedal, allowing you to choose between true bypass and buffered bypass in bypass mode. If you use many pedals or long cables, we recommend turning on the buffer to minimize high frequency and gain loss. The factory setting is “Buffer ON”. The buffer installed in the RRB is adjusted to accurately achieve the same amount of amplification in terms of voltage. The output impedance of the buffer is set slightly lower than the DC resistance of a typical guitar pickup, and is equivalent to the load impedance of the pedal connected afterward. The input impedance is set to 500k to match the medium load of typical guitar pickups. This keeps the guitar's tone and volume natural.

■SETTINGS
TREBLE BOOST: Set BOOST to minimum, MASTER to maximum, and adjust the amount of treble boost with the TREBLE knob.
STRAIGHT BOOST: Set TREBLE to minimum, MASTER to maximum, and adjust the boost amount with the BOOST knob.
BOOST: Boosts the booster gain to a maximum of approximately 40dB. Setting it high will create distortion.
DISTORTION: Set BOOST to max, adjust output to unity level with MASTER, and adjust BOOST to desired drive amount. You can emphasize the distortion effect with TREBLE.
