NEW SEALED CD

Krzysztof Komeda at the best of his jazz journey. Following the well-received "Live In Praha 1964", GAD Records offers a one-year-older concert from Bled, Yugoslavia. A different lineup, different energy and repertoire known from the album "Astigmatic".

Krzysztof Komeda set a new direction in jazz in the mid-1960s, drawing heavily on both John Coltrane's black expression and European romanticism. He discovered new things, culminating in the now cult album "Astigmatic". And a few months earlier, he performed two songs known from this album at the jazz festival in Bled (Yugoslavia). Completely different readings of the same compositions make the material from Bled one of the most interesting discoveries in the artist's concert discography to date. It's the complete opposite of the hot performance from Prague, Czech Republic - balanced, subdued and subtle music.

"Live In Bled 1965" presents a complete recording of the performance from the Bled festival, remastered from the original tapes from the RTV Slovenija archive by Andrzej Poniatowski. The booklet includes photos and text by Adam Baruch.
