This antique sculpture is a beautiful piece of black folk art from Ghana. The piece depicts a large boat with 20 people in intricate detail, carved from wood with a rich brown color.

The size of this sculpture is large, at greater than 30 inches and is an original piece, dating back to an unknown era and was purchased during a Memphis Estate Sale.

The style of this sculpture is very unique and represents a beautiful example of African craftsmanship. It can make a great addition to any antique collection or home decor.

Due to the age of this item and the unknown history there are pieces of the sculpture that are missing. Some people are missing legs, arms and I feel like the boat had oars (carved place holders on the boat). Overall it is in great shape but I do see signs of wood repair (glue). I will also mention that great care will be taken in shipping this item - and while I can ship internationally - I do not recommend it.
