A Field Guide To The Butterflies of Israel by Dubi Benyami Hebrew Full Color - Brand new.

Butterflies of Israel - Brand new.
Amazing work, astonishing book.

The new guide includes 157 species and subspecies of butterflies.  The butterflies appear under their current names.
(For each butterfly whose name is changed, the previous name and of course the scientific name also appear)

Each butterfly has an up-to-date distribution map, flight period and symbols describing behavioral characteristics.
Each butterfly is marked with its ecological status according to the Red Book of Israel's Butterflies.

Most of the butterflies appear in their actual size.
The small butterflies were enlarged and next to them we added a silhouette of their real size.

The steps of the incarnation;  An egg, a caterpillar, a pupa appear next to the photographs of the adults in nature.

Each family is represented in a characteristic color to make it easier to locate the butterfly in the book:
The colored ones are purple, the white ones are yellowish, the nymphs (including nymphs, nymphs and styria) - orange, the blue ones - blue, and the nymphs - gray.

At the end of this guide there is an index according to the new names, the old names and the scientific names.
The names of the butterflies in this book are according to the decisions of the language committee that met in 2018 to give names to the types of butterflies in Israel and also updated a number of existing names (from the decision of the previous committee in 1989).  In 2022, in preparation for the publication of this guide, additional names were updated.

This useful guide is intended for all butterfly and nature lovers and enables easy identification of all butterflies today in Israel.

Dubi Binyamini - researcher of Israeli butterflies for over 70 years, in the book he presents the latest information until 2022.

The association of butterfly lovers that he heads is represented in the book by many photographs of its members in addition to the photographs of the author;  For that he thanks all the photographers.

The book contains 1272 photographs taken by 78 photographers, not including 707 photographs of spread butterflies.
