YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND METAL USED IN A
VINTAGE H N WHITE KING CORNET!
The King Master Model cornet was King's top of the line professional cornet and widely considered the best cornet ever made!
Serial number is 282844 dating to around 1947
This super vintage cornet is ready to be an everyday player. You'll fall in love with the tone and response of this classic instrument. The valves have excellent plating and compression and are fast and smooth like only an HN White King can be.
I've had the chance to restore and play Master Model and Silver Sonics from 1915 till the 1970's and they all play great. The intonation is outstanding and the tone and response is the best you'll play. The basic design changed very little. That being said, the ones from the H. N. White Company days seem to play the best. When the family still owned the company and their name was on each instrument, uncompromising quality was the most important value. This was stressed by Edna White personally to each and every employee. I've heard this personally from a family member and also from a former employee, and experienced it first hand having played H. N. White King instruments since 1963!
THE VALVES ARE FAST AND SMOOTH WITH EXCELLENT PLATING AND COMPRESSION
Includes a mouthpiece and a case.
PUT THAT TRUMPET DOWN!!!
REDISCOVER THE GREAT WARM CORNET SOUND
ONLY A TRUE HN WHITE KING
MASTER MODEL CORNET CAN GIVE!!!
This is not your typical used instrument. It has been taken apart, dents removed, carefully reassembled, highly polished and a new baked epoxy lacquer finish applied. It will look and play GREAT!
The restoration was done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs. Some of their employees worked at the H.N. White and King factories in Cleveland and Eastlake, Ohio. The craftsman who does their polishing started at the H. N. White factory in Cleveland in 1957! He may have polished this one when it was new as well!
I have personally used this company for over 10 years for my band members and myself. I had this shop overhaul and silver plate my “baby” – a 1971 Besson euphonium and for me that’s like trusting someone to operate on your kid. (I’ve had the horn longer than my kids!) It really looks great and actually plays better than when I bought it new in college.
AN OUTSTANDING CLASSIC PROFESSIONAL CORNET!!
A REAL PLAYER – A GREAT COLLECTOR’S ITEM!
DON’T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!!

All instruments are inspected and play tested prior to shipping to insure the highest quality. While all horns are sold “AS IS, NO RETURNS” all restored instruments are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days with a “REPAIR & RETURN” warranty from the shop that does my overhauls. Contact me through eBay to OK warranty issues. Horns must be returned prepaid, fully insured against loss and damage by a carrier that provides tracking. Horns will be repaired, or replaced with a similar restored instrument if available, at our option and returned at no expense to the buyer. A store credit towards any instrument in my ebay store can also be issued if the customer prefers. To guard against “buyer’s remorse” NO CASH REFUNDS will be issued. Purchase indicates full acceptance of these terms.
The pictures tell the story. I personally play everything I sell, so there’s nothing to worry about. I’m a band director and professional musician playing tuba to trumpet and everything in between. If I wouldn’t have it in my house, I won’t send it to yours!
I’ve just collected too many instruments and other "horn stuff", between the community band that I direct (plus 3 others I play in – yes, I’m a little crazy!) and 2 kids that played in band in school. It’s time to “thin the herd”, so I’ll be listing some more instruments and “horn stuff” soon.
UPDATE: Thanks to all who have bought “stuff from my closet”. This has gone so well, that I’ve opened an Ebay store and will be looking for nice items (mostly band instruments and “horn stuff”) to offer for sale on Ebay as well as selling for band members and friends.
If there is something you’d like, just email me with your request and I’ll try to find it for you.
Please note: This item is also for sale locally. I will have to end the auction early if it sells locally.
