This lens will work with all Leica M Range cameras, film or digital like M11/M240, most DSLRs cameras as well as mirrorless,  such as Canon EOS, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic 4/3 and Micro 4/3 system, Sony, Pentax, etc., ,  and  cinema/motion camera systems with a proper adapter. (i.e. Sony, Fuji, Canon, Nikon, Alexa, BMD, Red etc.)

We make no guarantees about the usability of this lens on any system other than Leica R Series Cameras. Please do your own research if you plan to use this lens on non-Leica system.  An improper or cheap adapter may cause extensive damage to the lens. A return is not accepted if you find the lens does not work or is damaged because of improper or cheap adapter you use.

WARNING:  When you are ready to insert the lens into your camera, film or digital, hold the lens barrel (body) and turn the barrel to complete the attachment. DO NOT hold the FOCUSING and/or APERTURE RINGS and force insert the lens to a camera body or an adapter.

Otherwise, the FOCUSING and/or APERTURE RINGS could be snapped off or disengaged from the mechanism, resulting in damage. The repair cost for this kind of damage is very expensive and it is a buyer’s responsibility for the damage repair if this happens.

The condition of the focusing and aperture rings you have purchased is clearly described as being in properly working condition when the lens is listed. Again we will make a final inspection before we pack a lens for shipping.  I, the owner of this store, will personally inspect the lens and certify that the focus and aperture rings are in properly working condition in the purchase order which is included in the package. Therefore, we will not accept a return of the lens due to the damage caused by careless handling unless a buyer agrees that we will deduct the repair fee from the total refund.  

If we find out that something is wrong during our final inspection, we will notify you of the fact and may send you a full refund or a replacement with a similar quality if you desire so.

Please DO NOT use a flashlight to exam/inspect optic conditions because scratches/marks on the flashlight glass reflect through the lens elements, resulting in inaccurate inspection.  Some brand new lenses may occasionally have a slight amount of micro dust visible inside the lens elements. This is a result of the manufacturing process and will not affect image quality or resolution.  As a result, previously owned lenses like this one will generally exhibit the same consistence. Also, sometimes, some micro dust can be attracted to the glass surface, and it can be blown away.

 Difference between Scratch and Cleaning Marks on Glasses

*Scratch on the Glass of a lens: You can feel when you gently run a fingernail across it. A scratch mark if it is deep enough may affect image quality.

*Hairline/cleaning marks on the Glass of a lens: It is only on the coating and cannot be felt. They will not refract light and won’t affect any image quality.

Step 6:  We make a video recording for the movement of the focusing and aperture rings so that we can prove they are in working conditions just before packing the item.  We will refer the recoding should a buyer claim for damage.

 If we find any discrepancies before packing the item, we will notify a buyer of discrepancies and offer you with the following options:

1.  We will cancel your purchase and issue a full refund if you are no longer interested in the item.

2.  We will offer you a replacement lens with equal value if you prefer to this option.

RETURN POLICY

 The return policy set forth by eBay in 2018 states that certain product categories have unique retail standards and that sellers will be able to offer variations on the new return policy options. Our products are in the category of CAMERAS & PHOTO, and they are included in unique retail standards. Since an item is vintage and previously used, there may be minor discrepancies or oversight in descriptions. We are trying our best to provide you with as much detail as we could.

We only accept a return if an item is significantly different from what is described, however a return can be accepted under the following conditions.

1.     A Buyer falsely reports that an item is damaged or defective, so that he/she can claim a partial or full refund. Most claims are based on damaged focusing and/or aperture rings.  2.       A buyer intentionally buys an item and uses for his/her short-term project and wants to return for a full refund.  Some buyers try to avoid renting a lens to do their project and instead buy the lens and claim for refund when the project is completed.  We keep all records of buyers on file.

3.       A buyer demands a refund because something he/she is expecting to receive, which is not actually offered in the original listing.

4.       A buyer simply changes his/her mind and wants to cancel the purchase. 

 If a buyer claims a full refund with any of these exclusions, a seller is entitled to deduct certain amount from the purchase price.

 For Exclusion 1 through 3, the amount of deduction is by the type of exclusion stated above.

For Exclusion 4,  the minimum deduction is 5% of your purchase price.
