Mykola (Nikolai) Andriyovych Sheliuto (1906 Glukhovka - 1984 Odesa) was a well listed Ukrainian landscape painter and an honored Artist of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic (1958). In 1925 he entered the Odesa Art Institute and in 1931 graduated from it.

From 1936, he participated in various exhibitions, and between 1937-1967, taught painting and drawing at the Odesa Art School.

In 1938, he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

In 2006, the Odesa Art Museum showed a retrospective exhibition of the works of this famous Ukrainian master of landscape, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of his birth. Several halls featured works from the collections of Kyiv museums, private collections, and the Odesa Art Museum.
