Selling my Kodak Pakon F-135 Plus film scanner. I bought this item off Ebay in 2016, and I haven't used it much since (approximately 5-10 since I purchased it). Since it's just taking up space, I figure I'd sell it to someone that will actually have better use for it.
The scanner works, and will scan 35mm film. Please see this video for proof: https://youtu.be/K87ZcRJTU40
However, there are some issues that I am aware of:
- The scanner thinks there is film inserted, when there is not. When this happens, the green status indicator turns amber, and I get "Film in guide error (0x2000000). However, this is fixed by performing the DX sensor bypass regedit fix from the Facebook Pakon group. After applying the fix, the scanner stops throwing the error and scans any inserted 35mm film.
- - When using VirtualBox VM software, the scanner will sometimes throw a Code 149 error. I do not encounter this error while using VMWare Workstation, and it works fine.
Do note these are the issues I am aware of, and the only issues I have encountered in my limited use of this scanner. I am by no means an expert on this hardware and I have never taken it apart. Do note that this is a ~20 year old piece of hardware!
In addition to the scanner, I am including the power supply cable and USB cable.
