Winged Sitting Lions Pedestal Bowl Centerpiece

This is an Austin Sculpture, which is signed/embossed on the black base.  There is a copyrighted

date, but I can't make it out - maybe 1992, or 1989.  It is located where you can't get a camera in there too well.

Base is Black with 3 Antique Gold colored Sitting Winged Lions
They are holding up a clear Glass or Crystal Cut Bowl

This item is very heavy....

This is how the item was sold at auction - but truly - I am not 100% sure this particular base came with the

bowl originally or something else.  It fits perfectly - but that doesn't mean it is original to the base...just full disclosure.  I was unable to locate any other items just like this, so I can't say.

The base must be some type of composite - but it is well done.  When you flick the lions - they sound like metal - but they are not, as 1 has a small chip in the nose.  This could be touched up fairly easy - and you would never see it.  So, it can't be metal, but it is very heavy.  There are a few knicks on the edges of the base, and some wear on the top of the base where the bowl sits.  There are 4 pictures of this at the end of the photos.  The glass bowl is excellent.

This item would make a great centerpiece for a dining table, side buffet, or on an entry table in a foyer

Condition:  Vintage pre-owned condition.  Glass Bowl is excellent with no chips/cracks.
Sculpture Base has a few knicks, and there is a chip on 1 of the lion's noses.  All these things could be touched up with some matte black paint, or some antique gold acrylic paint.  These are available in walmart for about $1 each, if you want to attempt that.  It is an overall very nice piece.  Item is being sold as described, as is - with a few cosmetic issues.
