Early Ford COLUMBIA  AXLE 2 speed overdrive differential carrier housing  for FORD and Mercury .

This housing was made for a 1946-1948 (per brass tag) Columbia two speed unit, however this part will interchange to other years as identified below (as it was the axle housings that were different for the respective years.

This general Columbia style of aftermarket axle/overdrive components  were made available for Ford 1933-1948, Mercury 1939-48, Lincoln-Zephyr 1936-41. This Housing is for 46-48 Ford and Mercury.
