I have not washed the clothes will leave that to new owner.

It is a vintage an Impulse Item with original tag.

This 15 in., felt, plush stuffed toy, Impulse Items Original, in very good condition, is almost impossible to find in any condition on the Internet. (Normally they are 12 in. high.) These were made in the USA for Random House/Impulse Items Original by Sam Glankoff an artist who designed these toys for his wife's, Frances Kornblum's Toy Company in the 1960's. They were specifically made for Random House and sold at F.A.O. Schwartz and Bloomingdales. The toys were handmade in New York City. They are hand sewn and Kapok stuffed with a wire armature for standing and posing. The feet are cardboard lined. The felt is both synthetic and wool. The eyes are black glass. This Babar is in overall very good condition including the clothes with no broken stitches to the body considering the age. there is a circle on the top of the head where the crown Hat would have been. There is no hat but it can be easily replaced. Dimensions: 15 in. high.
