Details

Grimeca is an Italian production company of international importance.
It supplies components to the main motorcycle and scooter manufacturers and has focused its industrial activity on the design, development and production of cast parts in light alloys for frames, swingarms, wheels, pumps, calipers, hubs and on the production of brake discs.
Its history begins at the beginning of the 1950s, in the precision mechanics and metalworking sector.
At the end of the decade the first supplies for mopeds arrived and in the middle of the following decade the first important non-European customers arrived.
In 1968 Grimeca developed the first double cam hub, mounted on the Morini 350 Sport.
Continuous innovation leads to very important technological records and large production volumes created with methodologies that allow the Italian company to become a leader in OEM supplies (the first company in Europe to use CAD/CAM IT systems for the entire production cycle). In the following years, the die-cast aluminum frame arrived for Gilera and then for Honda and the first die-cast swingarm for Cagiva.
In 2006 Grimeca decided to launch an extensive line of brake discs for motorcycles and scooters (followed by other special parts lines) in the aftermarket.
In recent years the company has completed a restructuring and is now ready to take back the place that made it an international brand. In this sense, Grimeca has equipped itself with an engineering structure dedicated to the two-wheel sector and has also conceived and developed new brake disc concepts, for which it has filed invention and design patent applications.
