Up for sale is a good used Porsche 914 tachometer that has been calibrated for a 6 cylinder engine. The date code is 3/73 and the part number is 230/41/2. It came in a box of parts I bought at a swap meet.
Cosmetically, I would rate the condition as between fair and good. The glass is clean & clear. The dial face is nice. However, the bezel shows some patina on much of the surface and got a little "crinkled" on the back side when it was taken apart (see pics).
I tested it by hooking it up to my 4 cylinder and found it to read about 33% higher than actual, which made sense.
It is not my intent to rip anyone off. If you buy this, test it within 30 days. If it doesn't work as sdvertised for a 6 cylinder, return it for a full refund.
