For sale in really lovely condition a Systemdeck 11X Record Deck fitted with a Systemdeck tonearm. The drive motor and power supply capacitors have been replaced. Very well made, great sounding Scottish turntables. 1980s Systemdeck utilised the same chassis suspension principles as their more highly lauded countryman the Linn LP12. Comes fitted with an Audio Technica cartridge. The dust cover lid is a bit dusty in the pictures It polishes up well with only fine scratches.

Description

The Systemdek IIX features a 3-point sprung chassis and AC synchronous motor.

The sub-chassis is formed from a heavy steel plate, reinforced by an aluminium extrusion.

Original models had 'oil pump' type main bearings and teardrop shaped mdf arm boards, later variants having oblong arm boards in aluminium, and plain main bearings.

The Standard platter on the IIX was glass, with an acrylic version (as used on the 2X2) available as an upgrade.

Review

The Systemdek IIX surpasses any similarly priced rival and indeed, several more expensive models - What HiFi. Fine results were obtained on audition. Stereo images were well focused, while good depth and midrange detail were evident. The bass was notable for it's clean, even quality, showing good attack and tunefulness - HiFi Choice 1984

If you want to come to view & listen before buying you are welcome.  Collection very much preferred due to the weight  & delicate nature of a deck where you can hear it & check the condition.  I will post it if I have to, it will very well wrapped & the transit screws tightened.
