This curiosity is an early 20th century overprinted promotional copy of an earlier, very scarce 1817 map, originally titled "To the Inhabitants of Islington and its Environs this plan is respectfully dedicated by their most Obedient Servants Edward & Benjamin Baker". The first edition of this map, published in 1793, formed the basis for the now much sought-after Trade Card of the Islington based map maker Benjamin Baker. The location of the laundry marked on the map is approximately the current site of Drayton Park station, just to the south of Arsenal's Emirates Satdium.
