VEST: Is reversible which has mini-houndstooth on one side, and variegated wool on the other. There is a label on the inside (houndstooth) side, which would need to be removed before wearing reversible. The vest is collarless, but has a 1.5 inch standup 'mock' collar. No Buttons, 'open' vest. Rounded base at front opening. Shoulder to waist measurement: 19 inches. Pit to pit bust measurement with small overlap on the vest: 19.2 inches. Wide opening on arm holes.
NECK-TIE: 45.5 inches in length. One end is 1.25 inches wide. Other end is 1.75 inches wide. Tie is all Houndstooth, matching the blouse. There is a 2 inch string at one seam hanging on the back side which will be left there in case it is needed for repair etc. I see no opening or reason for the string to be 'loose' but do not wish to clip it if connected for a reason.
BLOUSE: Houndstooth. Collar, 7 buttons, Long Sleeves. 1.25 inched Cuffs, buttoned. Pleats at should and wrist. 20 inches pit to pit. 24 inches shoulder to waist. Blouse has a tag which approves hand washing. (suit-dry clean).
SKIRT: Variegated wool. Waist band with beltloop (a genuine brown leather belt goes very well with the the skirt, but not included in this 4-piece set). Lined (partially opened lining) in 100% viscose, two insert pockets also of viscose. Length of skirt, waist to hem: 29 inches. Zipper in back of skirt at waist for easy on and off. A beautiful pleat down the center of front of skirt. Waist is almost 16 inches across front.
A CLASSIC German suit that perhaps keeps it classic Style for many years to come. Superb craftmanship. Finished Seams. Only the most minor tiny holes in wools that show up only when holding up to the light and investgating through very critical eyes. 1982. Fordan Actuel.
