A very cool and beautifully carved Tahitian ukulele. 36" long, 8.5" wide at the widest point. Appears to be mahogany, though may another hard wood. The drum seems to be white goat fur, and produces a bongo-like percussion when tapped.

I did tune it (see video), though it's just placeholder nylon strings to keep the traditional pegs in place for transport - it could be restrung with modern metal tuners and proper strings. If you know what you're doing, you could add a few more holes to make it a traditional 8 string Tahitian ukulele if desired.

Features 3 very relaxed tiki figures in a reclined position, who must be listening to Les Baxter - though it can be restrung and used, it would also just look awesome next to a great record collection in your tiki bar next to your black velvet painting lit by your favourite hula girl lamp.

Excellent vintage condition, some minor dings to wood, but no chips or cracks or repairs. See photos.

Priced high to allow the true collectors a chance to find this listing and make your best offer! I consider all offers.
