Interior KIT for the Athearn 72ft Vista-Dome Passenger Car

( No “passengers” are included with this KIT. )

  This KIT consists of 3 pieces to be glued together to create the interior.  The parts must glued them together before installation.  TEST FIT FIRST; the interior fits very well, but there may be a little trimming, sanding or filing involved.

  The interior is designed to allow for the installation of an LSW100 underneath the interior floor for car weight.  The stock steel weight must be replaced.  In most cases the length of the LSW will be from truck screw to truck screw.  Bond the LSW to the car floor with automotive weather-stripping cement.

   NOTE: the dome “glass” is thick enough to impact passenger placement.  Tall passengers cannot be seated in the outside corner seats.  The instruction sheet shows how to reduce passenger height. 

Warning! Do not install the interior in the passenger car sooner than 12 hours after using “Super Glue”.  Cyanoacrylate adhesives release fumes that will attack and mar your windows and other surfaces.
