Samsung printers are amongst the top ranked in both A4 mono and colour formats.
The ML-4500 is an affordable black & white laser printer that produces business quality
documents. Fast and reliable, the 13-pound printer offers specifications that
are as good as many of its more expensive counterparts. It prints at 8 pages a minute
and offers 600 dpi resolution.
Toner
cartridges last for 2500 pages, but you can extend their capacity to as much as
3500 pages with a toner-saving button on the front panel. It has a 35MHz RISC
Processor and is compatible with both Windows and Linux software.
The ML-4500 has
a nifty feature called ‘N-up printing mode’, which will squeeze up to 16 pages
of text on a single sheet of paper. This can be useful for condensing longer
documents or for setting up an index sheet for lengthy reports.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
- This
auction is for a vintage Samsung ML-4500 printer originally purchased in the early
2000s. The printer is unboxed, but is supplied with a 3 pin IEC C13 power cable
and a parallel printer cable. There is some minor surface wear, but it is in
very good overall condition for its age. There are no damaged parts, the
markings are all clear and there is no significant fading or discolouration.
Most of the original stickers are still intact, and there are no issues with
any of the buttons. The cables are also in very good condition. The parallel
printer cable is missing one of its connector screws, but it stays in position
perfectly well without it and it does not affect its performance.
The printer was
tested on 12/01/22 and is in good working order, though the text was a little
faint, because the toner cartridge inside it is very old and nearing the end of

Please note,
this printer was manufactured in October 2002, so may not be compatible with
modern software and equipment. There is no USB port, so it needs to be
connected using a parallel printer cable. It does not print in colour.
