KATO's original tilting mechanism is employed, allowing the body to tilt and realistically replicate curve passage scenes that closely resemble the real thing.
The use of a slotless motor ensures even smoother and quieter running performance.
Body-mounted close-coupling couplers (hookless) are used for the intermediate connections. Dummy couplers with covers are used for the front of cars 1 and 12.
Body-mounted close-coupling couplers without hooks, featuring replica electrical connections, are used for the front of cars 3 and 4.
Headlights and taillights are lit, with all five headlights illuminated.
Seats inside the cars are reproduced in blue-purple for ordinary cars and brown for green cars.
Car numbers, no smoking signs, and wheelchair signs are pre-printed.
Destination display stickers are included, featuring a wide range of destinations such as "Super Azusa," "Azusa," and "Kaiji."
When all three sets are collected, all 12 cars can be stored in the add-on set and the accompanying formation set's bookcases.
