Book has edgewear that includes mild loss to spine ends and corners, rubbing, faint dampstain to bottom corners, joints worn but binding holding all signatures, small split to bottom front inner hinge, dampstain on bottom corner to front endpapers only, previous owner's stamp and signature to half-title, half-title starting to split from bottom, full-title page has two X'd out signatures, otherwise text clean and unmarked, with gentle toning throughout. Now in archival mylar wrap. This book is a foundational textbook of modern biology and our understanding of the natural world. Less than ten years later Wilson discovered the chromosomal XY sex-determination system in 1905—that human males have XY and females XX sex chromosomes. Very good.
