Pictured is an early glass spice jar offered for sale.  The container has a perforated tin cover & an embossed vertical-ribbed design.  It's embossed "BENNETT SIMPSON & CO.  --  NEW YORK".  The reverse side reads "CELERY SALT".  It measures 

4 1/8" in height & dates from the turn of the century.  It's in excellent condition with no nicks or damage.
