Alle fünf Jahre wird ein anderes Tier der bekannten "Big Five" in der neuen Bullion Serie vorgestellt. Den Auftakt machte der Elefant im Jahr 2022. Das neue Motiv "Elefant" wird in den darauf folgenden fünf Jahren mit gleichem Motiv und wechselnder Jahreszahl ausgegeben und ziert somit auch das Motiv der 2024er Bullion Ausgabe. Nach Abschluss der fünfjährigen Elefanten-Serie folgen dann ebenfalls im 5-Jahresrhytmus der Löwe, das Nashorn, der Leopard und schließlich der Büffel.
