XU1 Cluster gear and a NEW "924"
V8 input shaft to build a V8 version of an XU1 Aussie 4 speed gearbox.
With these items you can convert your existing V8 M20 or 6 Cyl M20 to a set of XU1 ratios ie: 1st 2.54:1, 2nd 1.83:1, 3rd 1.25:1 and 4th 1:1.
This ratio change gives 3rd gear longer legs for overtaking etc.
This conversion is dependent on the condition of the existing 1st, 2nd,and 3rd gears("491" 3rd gear is retained).
The Cluster is a new Japanese made item which matches or exceeds OEM parts.
The V8 "924" input shaft is also new and sourced from the same manufacturer.
These are the main parts other than a V8 front bearing support required to convert to a "V8" XU1 box.
The success of this conversion is still dependent on the condition of the existing main shaft synchro assemblies and other speed gears etc.
