Do - largest diameter - 30.55 mm. Most movements have a flange a little bigger than Dm, to rest on the case band or mounting frame. This is also the maximum size of the dial.

Dm - mounting diameter - 29.20 mm. With this diameter the movement fits into the aperture of the case or mounting frame.
