The forty-fifth mini-album in the series dedicated to Polish painting presents the life and work of one of the most outstanding Polish painters and sculptors - Maria Jarema (1908-1958). Young Jaremianka honered her talent at sculpture studies in the studio of Xawery Dunikowski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Associated with the Krakow Group and then with the experimental theatre of Tadeusz Kantor, she became one of the most outstanding representatives of Polish avant-garde painting. Her painting works, full of abstract shapes, are characterized by multidimensionality, spaciousness, rhythmicity and colourfulness. The mini-album with the introduction of Agata Małodobry contains about sixty of the artist's most famous works, currently in the collections of Polish national museums.
