The action of the series begins in the summer of 1997, just before the arrival of the famous 12-meter flood wave that flooded Wrocław. Marianna, an architecture student, and her fiancé, return from a scholarship in the USA to their family home in Wrocław. Her mother, Helena Lach, is a constantly busy perfectionist, distant from her family. Her opposite is a grandmother full of warmth and humor who loves Marianna unconditionally. The family drama begins when a flood wave floods the house. A coincidence leads to Marianna discovering post-German traces in the building destroyed by the element, thanks to which she finds the diary of the first owner of the House of Two Eagles, Lisa Weber. The story written in the diary takes the action of the series to 1918.
