An early 20th century English estate made hand carved pine folk-art decoy pigeon this example is of a primitive naive form.

Made with inset glass eyes, it also has a pole / dowel support hole in the underside

Sadly the pole stick not present anymore (easy to replace)

As regards the stunning paint and patina on this piece it is as you would come to expect from its age and background

please note it has damage and a loose not quite broken off piece of wood on its tail

I would believe this is definitely a statement item I could easy see it being used as a prop for a gunsmith put back into a stately home collection or just as an interior piece of art
