VERY RARE Astrodome Memorabilia

Up for bid is an original piece of AstroTurf from the Dome.  This turf was used as the playing surface for the Houston Astros and Oilers through 1999.  The turf remained idle in the Dome for many years after closure.  On November 3, 2013, the Harris County Sports & Convention Corp made several pieces of turf and stadium seats available to fans and collectors.  This piece was purchased from the Astrodome sale and auction on November 3, 2013.  These pieces sold out in hours!  

This is a very rare piece of turf measuring 3 inches by 3 inches.  The turf piece comes with a COA stating the turf piece was removed from the Dome in October 2013.  October 2013 was the month the turf was prepared for sale.
