Yes, it needs a lot of work, but it's so cool!  I don't really have the skill to restore it, nor a place to keep it, so I'm hoping someone else wants it.

This is an old antique Davenport (named after the person who popularized the style) standing captain's desk.

It has  railing on the top, that's about 41" x 3 x 3 that sits on dowels.

Then there is the slant top drawer, which pulls out, has some shallow carved wooden bowls in front, a few cubblies, and a hinged drawer that pulls out from the right side that has compartments and a funny wedge shape in one of the spaces. There is also a slide out shelf on the right side.  This measures about 40" across, by 29" deep, 4.5: in front and 9" in back.  It is missing the slant top which, of all the pieces to be missing, might be the easiest to restore.

The next piece is the main body with 4 drawers and two shelf/cubbies.  The insides of the drawers are solid oak.  The drawers are chamfered on the bottom.  One of the knobs is broken.

The base is about 41" wide x 29" deep and about 7" high.  There are two columns that rest on the front of the base and support the top.

Overall dimensions: about 41" wide x 30" deep , 50" high in back and 45" in front

It's local pick up but if you want to make your own arrangements to ship it, I'm happy to work with your shipper.

All local pick up items can be shipped for a cost, which is why they are listed as "local pick up"..  Estimate $200-300.  A cheaper option might be to contact UShip, which is easy to use.  I can give you the name of the vendor I have used who is reliable.  I also can deliver for a fee if you are within 50 miles of the 10567 zip code.
