This is a beautiful and Fine Vintage California Impressionist Seascape Oil Painting on canvas, by early California Impressionist painter, Roberta Lester (1889 - 1976.) This artwork depicts a stunning and masterful Northern California plein air seascape scene, with a rose hued sunset sky, delicately painted evening clouds, and majestic ocean waves crashing upon rocks along the shore. Signed: "R. Lester" in the lower left corner. There is very little biographical information on this talented artist, but perhaps you know more about her or her work? Approximately 31 1/2 x 43 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 24 x 36 inches. This piece likely dates to the early 1950's. Very good condition for age, aside from some moderate - heavy paint flaking to the original period vintage wood frame (please see photos.) Acquired from an old collection in Los Angeles, California. Due to the large size of this piece, S&H costs will be unavoidably high. However, Free Local Pickup is also an option. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
