One of several Buffet Crampon clarinets we are offering for
sale. This is an R13 Bb horn, s/n 88XXX,
roughly 1966—right at the start of Buffet’s Golden Era of production. It is in excellent condition: a very small sliver off the edge of one tenon
which is just cosmetic in nature and not worth fixing. No other cracks, chips, or repairs. Plating about 95% with just a little wear as
seen in the photos. Just through the
shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, polished, had new tenon
corks installed, and all new pads with the upper in Ferree’s premium cork and
the lower in cork and Ferree’s B17 de’Jur double-bladder, pressed felt
pads. Play well across all registers
with just the usual little quirks common to all R13’s, good intonation and an unusually
balanced, focused tone compared to some of the others we have listed. (Speaking of which, be sure to see the R13’s

ligature, cap, and new ProTec microfiber cloth.
Cork grease and Leblanc bore oiling kit are for local pickup only and

periods in Buffet history, and in amazingly nice condition!

Shipping: Items are shipped after receipt and clearance of your payment. We try to ship far ahead of the handling time listed in the auction. Note that with international shipping, not all countries provide door-to-door tracking; therefore, buyer assumes full liability for item after leaving the United States.
Returns: We have zero unhappy customers, and we have offered hassle-free returns for almost twenty years. Unfortunately, due to rampant abuse of eBay's automated returns, and since PayPal no longer refunds sales fees, we have had to revise our return policy. (1) If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us PRIOR to initiating a return via eBay and allow us to address your concerns. Many items such as clarinets and oboes come out of adjustment during the shipping process, and can be easily tweaked by your local technician. We are happy to talk you through this process. (2) Items may be returned for any reason at your expense within seven days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and eBay fees, which are not refundable. If on receipt we are able to verify the item to be significantly different than described, we will additionally refund original shipping, PayPal fees, and your return shipping to maximum of $30.00.
