Want to blow all your friend’s minds with the most insane, campiest, kitschy ashtray ever created? Well, here’s your opportunity.

We’ve been collecting retro vintage goodies for decades and have never seen anything this insane. It has a Florida cedar base carved with scalloped details which supports a glass ashtray that displays a portion of a souvenir postcard and is decorated with a description of “Ho Toi God of luck. Rub my belly for health and happiness. Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.” And best of all, it has a plastic Buddha figure mounted right on top!

To my knowledge there’s no such thing as “Ho Toi”. I think they botched the spelling of “Ho Tai” or “Hotei”. Hotei Buddha is one of the shichi fukujin, or Seven Lucky Gods, in Japanese Shintoism. Hotei is a god of good luck and good fortune and may be called the ''Laughing Buddha. '' He is also known as the ''cloth sack'' monk or Budai in China

What Buddha has to do with Ft. Lauderdale, I couldn’t begin to guess, but this thing is AWESOME!

Measures 5"h x 9"w x x 6"d. Pictures reflect very good original condition. There is a chip on one of the four cigarette holders on the ashtray.
