Prototypes are passed around for approvals, and could have some defects.

Prototypes may have different features and graphics than the production models. (I don't have the production version of this model, so do not know for sure)

Comes in the original styrofoam as shown, only 1 screw is included but car will be shipped very protected!

Sock is intentionally cut at Lionel to screw the car to the foam. This is normal and adds to its authenticity.

Most prototypes are usually of less than 7 made (numbers vary over the years, and are not published). Special finishes usually are less.
