Announcement for the December, 1963 “Something Wild” exhibition at Allan Stone Gallery in New York. The artists in the exhibit were sculptor Joseph Kurhajec, painter George Wardlaw, and tapestry maker Dorothy Grebenac.

The announcement is a large postcard that was mailed to glass artist Marvin Lipofsky when he was still working on his graduate degrees at the University of Wisconsin (check out the 1963 Christmas stamp!). The note at the bottom below the address reads: save one post the other in good place on “Sc----- door”.

Joseph Kurhajec and Marvin Lipofsky both studied in Wisconsin and likely were friends. The address and note may have been written by Kurhajec.

The card has pinholes, tape, some staining, and a crease.

Approximately 10 x 6 inches.
