- It is identified as the 1905
edition of the
Macksburg
quadrangle, compiled by the United States
Geological Survey,
Department of the Interior.
- The image area measures 44.5 x 34.3 cm [17½" x 13½"],
and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 81°15' W to 81°30' W
and latitude
39°30' N to 39°45' N.
- The map is drawn on a scale of 1:62,500, with contour
lines at 20-foot
intervals. It locates roads, towns, railroads, and natural
features, as well as individual homes and farms.
- It includes neighboring parts of Noble and Monroe
counties and locates the steamboat route on the Muskingum River,
linking Marietta and Zanesville.
- Other named places and features include Dexter City,
South Olive,
the Marietta Division of the Pennsylania Railroad System, Germantown,
Buffalo Run, Lebanon, Fulda, Duck Creek, Lower Salem, Cliffyville,
Jerles,
the Ohio River & Western Railroad, Warner, Elba, Honesty,
Heslop, and Whipple Run.
- Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used
condition, with a few stray pencil marks and a
reference number neatly printed in the upper right corner. Please see
