The
SHARPE
Boxset

The Boxset contains two further television adventures made for ITV of Sean Bean as Lt. Col. Richard Sharpe, this time set in the India of the British Raj, with its contrasts of lavish opulence and abject poverty.

Sharpe's Challenge (138 minutes)

The Duke of Wellington still favours Richard Sharpe's abilities, and in 1817 sends him to investigate a Maharajah who is threatening British interests in an Indian province. Once there, he gets caught up in the kidnap of a General's daughter and is forced into the heart of enemy territory in a rescue bid. He is as ever assisted by his companion of many years, Sergeant Major Patrick Harper, played by Darah O'Malley.

Sharpe's Peril (238 minutes)

In 1818, Richard Sharpe and Darah O'Malley are still in India, this time on a mission to escort a young lady on a journey to find her fiancé. However, they fall foul of bandits, resulting in many casualties, leaving Sharpe with the dangerous task of getting the survivors to safety. This proves to be merely the start of his problems, which lead him to confront the organisers of a massive opium trafficking ring.

Among the extras is a 100 minute film version of Sharpe's Peril.
