Signing to Deccas Deram label, the band recorded a series of albums which embraced, jazz, blues and rock influences and enjoyed success as one of the great British bands of the late 1960s and early 1970s.Following the release of the album Overdog in the Spring of 1971, Miller recorded his first solo album, Bright City. The result was a fine and inspiring record and led to him forming Hemlock to record a follow up album for Deram.Aside from Miller Anderson, the band featured Mick Weaver (keyboards), James Leverton (bass), Eric Dillon (drums), Peter Dines (organ) and guests Chris Mercer (saxophones) and Pete Willsher (pedal steel guitar). The bands only album was a fine blend of folk and rock influences.
