BEAUTIFUL BESSIE! A 24" Oil on Wood Still Life with Cow
Likely rural Ohio, painted on found object.

 Let Bessie be your wall’s mascot! This unique piece of rural Ohio folk art features a stately Holstein, hand-painted on a 24” solid wooden wire spool! The artist used the recessed border of the spool to add a floral flair, adding a charming character to the already fantastic piece!

This piece was likely made as late as the mid-to-late-20^th Century, although its origin might have been earlier. The piece was acquired within the last five years in southwestern Stark County, Ohio – north-central Amish country. The origins before that are unknown.

The spool comes with original hanging wire attached for immediate display!

Condition:

 This piece is in VERY GOOD condition. The piece has been weathered, which adds to its charm and character. Some paint, including parts of the boarder and some black spots of the cow, have peeled off are peeling; however, much of the original image is preserved. The piece comes ready to hang!

Returns:

I accept a no-questions-asked money back return policy granted the request is made up to 30 days after the item arrives. I refund only the purchase price of the item and, if free return shipping is offered on the listing, the full return shipping. It is your responsibility to return the item to me in the same condition it was sent to you. If the item is returned in an inferior condition as to how it was sent, a full return might not be granted. New items that come back in an inferior condition or are removed from their original packaging will not be granted a full refund.
