THESE CAN EITHER BE USED AS A VILLAGE UNDER A TREE OR CAN BE USED AS ORNAMENTS ON A TREE. THEY ALL HAVE A HOLE TO INSERT A LIGHT BUT THE SMALLER HOMES DO NOT HAVE PLASTIC WINDOWS SO A LIGHT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THEM. THE LARGER ONES HAVE PLASTIC WINDOWS AND COME ALIVE WHEN A LIGHT IS USED. I USED MY CELL PHONE LIGHT TO THEM SO YOU CAN GET AN IDEA OF WHAT THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE ON A BRANCH OR A SCENE UNDER THE TREE. A NICE LARGE TUFT OF COTTON UNER THESE WOULD HELP HEIGHTEN THE EFFECT IF USED AS ORNAMENTS ON A BRANCH !!! BEING SOLD EXACTLY AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS. ONE OF THE SMALLER ONES HAS A PIECE MISSING OFF OF THE BASE.
